White Star Line Lifeboat flag

Post by Al Horning » Tue Dec 03, 2013 12:09 pm

I have a brass colored lifeboat flag that is mounted on a large board. It apparently hung over a door jam for years or was above a fireplace mantel. A deceased friend of mine said he bought it in New Jersey years ago from a Titanic survivor. On the back of the flag is pasted an old note from one individual to another with the date April 1912 on it.
Is there a collector value to this piece? I don't have a lot to go on other than the story my friend often repeated regarding his purchase of the flag.
Thanks
Al

Al,

Anything is possible; would you be willing to share the contents of the note?
All the best,

Tim
